This shows another way in which an Instructor can assign content to Learners outside of the Command Center
Assigning content has always been in the Command Center on the Team tab for Instructors (and will still be there-see other articles and how-to video's on this). It helps keep Instructor capabilities in one place. With this simple addition, Instructors will be able to assign content from the overview pages of the content itself.
Instructors may now create assignments from:

Course Overview pages

Competency Overview pages

Learning Path Overview pages

When an Instructor clicks "Assign," a modal will walk them through choosing groups or individuals, and a due date for the assignment.

Assign button only appears for admins, and not for learners
Assign from Catalog View

Instructors may now create assignments from the Catalog view, and select multiple courses

When an Instructor clicks "Assign," a modal will walk them through choosing groups or individuals, and a due date for the assignments.

While assigning multiple courses at once, admins will now be able to select separate due dates for each course, and re-order the list of courses they have selected.

Due date can be optionally applied to all courses in the batch of assignments

Individual dates change when the courses are re-ordered to match the order of courses

Individual dates can be locked so that even when reordered, stay the same
