Do you offer CPO certification?

Certified Pool Operator Training & Certification (CPO) is a 2-day online training and proctored exam provided in partnership with Sherwood Pool Consulting Group.

 
Interplay is providing prep classes and exam proctoring from Sherwood Pool Consulting Group Inc., who are leaders in education and training in the pool and spa industry, offering the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Certified Pool Operator® (CPO Certification®) course virtually and in-person to people nationwide. 
 
The two-day live virtual training offered through Interplay is hosted via Zoom. Live Virtual Class will typically run 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM both days in the time zone specified unless otherwise noted. There will be breaks throughout the day and a lunch break.

What is included?

All materials are included! The CPO handbook, all of the study material, shipping of CPO materials, two days of instruction, the exam, and the CPO certification (as long as learners receive a minimum of 75% on the exam) from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) and is valid for 5 years.
 
How can I access this?
The CPO course can be enrolled in or assigned to a learner. Inside this course is the password protected Interplay sign up link. This link will take the you to the registration and payment page for the training and certification with Sherwood.
When you click the link in the course you will be prompted for the password. Once on the registration page you can read more about CPO certification and select and register for a course.
 
What equipment is needed?
All you need is a computer or laptop with reliable internet access, microphone, and a webcam. The proctor will have continuous monitoring of the testing screen, webcam, and microphone to ensure you are complying with all testing regulations. 
 
What reporting is available?
Test takers are informed of their score and pass/fail status upon completing their exam.
Scores are uploaded weekly to report pass or not passing scores. This is visible to admin in reporting.

What do I get once they pass the exam?

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) will provide an electronic CPO Certificate and Wallet Card after passing the exam, and deliver a hard copy within 4 weeks of passing the CPO exam.

Q: Is CPO available in Spanish?
A: The training is currently offered in English only; if you are interested in CPO training and certification in Spanish please contact your Account Manager.

Q: When will the full CPO schedule be available and do Interplay customers have to register during specific dates/times?  
A: Sherwood Pool Consulting Group updates the schedule regularly. Interplay learners will join their peers who sign up from any organization via open registration. CPO classes are typically planned two months in advance by Sherwood Pool Consulting, in order for the trainers to be flexible if there are larger groups that schedule private training or they travel on sight for training. 
 
Q: I have a group that wants to train together. How can I schedule that?
A: Contact your Account Manager and we can help arrange a group training. 
 
Q: Can I pay for my technicians all at once, or do we have to pay one at a time only with a credit card?
A: There are other payment options available including pre-payment for multiple technicians and billing via invoice. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
