How do I cast VR onto a laptop, tv, projector
There are a couple of options you have when wanting to cast your Quest 2 view onto an external display.
- Cast to your browser
- On your computer, open your browser then go to oculus.com/casting and log in with the same account used in the headset. Your headset and computer must also be on the same WIFI
- Put your headset on and press the Oculus button
on your right controller to open the universal menu.
- Select Camera icon , select Cast
- Select Computer then select Next to connect.
- You can then connect your computer to the external display via HDMI
- Chromecast
- You can use an external Chromecast device, or a TV with built-in Chromecast Note: Chromecast is not fully supported with Meta Quest and may not work properly. We recommend casting to a computer for the best experience.
- Put your headset on and press the Oculus button
- Select Camera icon , select Cast
- Select the Chromecast in the device list and Next to connect.
**If you try to cast, after selecting the device, you get nothing but a spinning wheel and it does not connect, you will need to power cycle the headset. Hold down the power button on the right of the headset, and restart.
