Setting up the Pico Neo 3

No account is necessary! Just agree to the terms and conditions, set up your guardian, and you are good to go!

Getting SkillMill into the Pico Neo 3

Note: When new fixes/updates are pushed through, users should retrieve the latest APKto replace the older version.

  • Plug your headset into your computer through USB cable (included with charger).
  • Open Windows File Explorer


  • Open Pico Neo 3 Pro -> Internal shared storage -> Download folder.

  • Move APK into the download folder. 



Now unplug your headset and put it on. You are ready to install SkillMill on your Pico Neo 3!

  • Open up the main menu if not already open.
  • Click on File Manager -> APKs tab (list along the top line).
  • Click on SkillMillPico.apk and install.
  • Go to the app library to open and launch SkillMill

What is needed:

  • Pico Neo 3 headset
  • TV, projector, or monitor that supports Miracast (most smart TVs come standard with Miracast), if your device does not support Miracast you can buy a Miracast dongle. 
  • Internet connection

Important: If you want to cast a monocular screen, you need to enable ‘Single-eyed Display’. Open your settings, select More>Connected Devices>Single-eyed Display.

Instructions for screencasting with a built-in Miracast receiver.

Important: If you can not connect with your TV immediately, open the application on your TV as well for the Miracast to work.

  1. Make sure both your Pico headset and your Miracast device are connected to the same WiFi network.
  2. Switch on your TV/receiver and open the Miracast application
  3. Put on your Pico Neo 3 headset, and double-click the Pico button (located on the right side of the headset). This will take you to a quick menu.
  4. Select ‘Screencast’ from the quick menu. 
  5. When in the screencast menu, make sure that ‘Enable wireless display’ is enabled.
    1. You can do this by clicking on the 3 dots at the top right corner of the screencast menu.
  6. Select the device you want to cast to. 
    1. When you have selected the device, you will receive a notification on that device.
    2. Accept this notification

Your Pico Neo 3 screen should now be duplicated to this device.

Instructions for screencasting with a Miracast dongle.

  1. Make sure your Miracast dongle is connected to your TV
    1. Select the HDMI channel the dongle is connected to on your TV
  2. Connect the Pico Neo 3 to the WiFi signal of the Miracast dongle.
  3. Put on your Pico Neo 3 headset, and double-click the Pico button (located on the right side of the headset). This will take you to a quick menu.
  4. Select ‘Screencast’ from the quick menu. 
  5. When in the screencast menu, make sure that ‘Enable wireless display’ is enabled.
    1. you can do this by clicking on the 3 dots at the top right corner from the screencast menu.
  6. Select the device you want to cast to. 

Your Pico Neo 3 screen should now be duplicated to this device.

To stop casting

  1. Double-click on the Pico button on the right side of the headset to open the ‘quick menu’.
  2. Open the Screencasting menu by selecting ‘Screencast’.
  3. Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the menu.
  4. You can disable ‘Enable wireless display’ here

Your screencasting should now be stopped.
