What are the device requirements for simulations?

Simulations are available through a browser, Windows desktop Application, or tablet App. The desktop application can be paired with virtual reality equipment for a fully immersive training experience.

Windows Desktop Application (Recommended)

  • We require a 64-bit version of Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11. XP and Vista are not supported.

  • The system should have a minimum of 2 GB of RAM to run the desktop application. A PC with 8GB of RAM is recommended, though the sims may load on a machine with 4GB of RAM. They will not load on a machine with less than 4GB of RAM unless the sims are run through the desktop app exclusively.

  • You are required to have an internet connection speed of at least 10mbps. We recommend having an internet download speed of 15mbps or greater for optimal performance.

App is available for download here.

Browser Requirements

  • 64-bit operating system required- simulations run on most modern 64-bit browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer are not supported. Apple/Macs work in this mode ONLY.

  • 8GB of RAM is recommended, though the simulations may load on a machine with 4GB of RAM. They will not load on a machine with less than 4GB of RAM.

  • Most Intel i3, i5, or i7 processors should be sufficient. Machines with Pentium, Atom, and Celeron processors are sometimes not powerful enough for the simulations, so results may vary.

  • You should have an internet connection speed of at least 15mbps.

Tablet Requirements

Note that simulations will not run in a browser on tablet or VR devices. To run our simulations on an iPad, Android tablet, or VR headset, you will need to use the SkillMill or Interplay Learning Player app.

  • Android - at least a 2018 or newer. You can find the app here.

  • IPAD - at least a 2015 or newer (iPad Air 2 or newer). You can find the app here
