What is LTI?
In this article we'll be going over what LTI is and how we use it to integrate with our LMS users!
What does LTI stand for?
In technical terms, LTI stands for Learning Tools Interoperability. It's a set of specifications that allows the integration between content (like ours) and an LMS!
What is LTI (and it's integration) doing in the background?
After your LTI integration is completed, it essentially begins working as a phone operator.
Your LMS will make a call to Interplay which your integration will put through, letting that connection be made so you can get the content you need! The same happens when we create the initial link between interplay and your LMS. 😎
Keep in mind, set up for an LTI integration is different depending on which LMS you use, however the basis of LTI is the same across the board!
