Adding an Instructor Led Course to Your Content Manager Catalog

Instructor Led Training is now available on Content Manager for our Enterprise Subscribers! Use this article to utilize this tracking tool for your Learners.

What does it do?

Instructor-Led Training (ILT) allows instructors to schedule, track, and manage in-person or virtual training sessions for learners. This feature helps monitor attendance and marks course completion for those who participate in these live sessions.


How to Use Instructor-Led Training

Create an Instructor-Led Training Course

  • Navigate to your custom catalog in Content Manager.
  • Click Add New Course

  • When prompted to select what type of course you want, select Instructor-Led Training.

  • A course shell will be created, which can be used to track attendance for your users

When you add a new Instructor-Led Training course it will automatically appear under "Drafts". Draft courses are visible only to your organization's Content Manager and cannot be seen by instructors or learners.


Publish the Course

  • The ILT course will initially be in draft mode, visible only to Content Managers.

  • Once ready, click Publish to make it available for instructors and learners.


How will users view ILT courses?

When a learner accesses an Instructor-Led Training course they are only able to see a message specifying that the course is an Instructor-Led Training.

There are currently no activities for learners to interact with in Instructor-Led Training courses.


How do I mark attendance for a user on an ILT?

Once an in-person Instructor-Led Training is complete, the instructor or admin can use the Mark Complete tool to mark the course complete for those who attended.

The course will be marked as 100% complete and it will show up along with Interplay trainings on the learner progress page and in your reports.
