Unbox Oculus Headset
Watch this video from Oculus with Quest 2 device setup instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBSiZ5Pcjjg
STEP 1: Unbox the Hardware
Before you put the headset on, remove the battery taps from the Touch controllers to activate them. The headset itself should have around 40% battery charge out of the box. Also, take note of your Wi-Fi and password.
STEP 2: Put on Your Headset
Press the power button on the right side of the headset for 2 seconds to power the headset, and put the headset on. Adjust the straps so that the headset can fit your head.
The controllers will pair automatically with the headset.
STEP 3: Choose Your Language
Next, choose your preferred language by selecting your option and using your touch controller to confirm.
STEP 4: Connect Your Headset to Wi-Fi
Select your Wi-Fi and enter the password to connect your headset. At this point, the headset requires an update which will take up to 5 minutes.
STEP 5: Download the Oculus Mobile App
After the initial setup is complete, you need to pair the Quest 2 to the Oculus mobile app on your phone. Using a supported phone (iOS 10+ or Android 5.0+), download the app and follow the onscreen instructions.
NOTE: Meta has removed the Facebook account requirement and switched to Meta Accounts. The new Meta account structure gives VR users more flexibility and control, letting you choose how you do and don’t show up – and whether Facebook and/or Instagram is part of your experience in VR and other surfaces where you use your Meta Horizon profile.
If you are new to Meta VR Devices (e.g. Oculus Quest 2): You have the ability to create a Meta account using an email address, FB account, or Instagram account.
**If you have multiple headsets, it is recommended to create a separate Meta account for each headset. This will allow you to simultaneously launch SkillMill or Interplay Learning Player app on multiple devices.
If you already use Facebook to log into VR: You must create a Meta account and Meta Horizon profile, so the steps will look a little different for you.

Setup Your Guardian Boundary
The final step in the Quest 2 setup is to configure the guardian boundary system. This is the safe space in your room you will play a virtual reality in. The guardian is meant to protect you so that you won’t hit the wall or furniture when you are playing VR.
STEP 1: Room and Guardian Setup
Once prompted, lower the controller to the floor and press the trigger button. This will set the height of your boundary
Next, draw the boundary by pulling the trigger and drawing a boundary around your "safe area" or open area.
Congratulations you have now successfully set up your headset! Almost there!
